HF1 SD VX Ultra-Adjustable Flight Forming Machine

Helix Flight's forming machines are specifically designed to form sectional helices cut from flat plate to make a "Blank". Our advanced forming technologies allow for a safe, swift and simple operation, while delivering True Form helices at the lowest whole-of-life cost per helix.

Guidance above is subject to the conditions and limitations below:

  • Indicated machine ranges are based on 250Mpa Yield Strength Plate, and the Range of sizes will be affected by alternating grades of material being used
  • Maximum pitch is a function of the diameter to fit the shaft, and is limited accordingly
  • Extended diameter and pitch range may be achieved if the flange width is less than 25% of the diameter
  • The Pitch may be limited by the thickness of the material being formed, which may be too thin to hold the correct form
  • Forming with Abrasion Resistant material may require the use of special, high-wear Forming Plates
  • Forming with Abrasion Resistant material may be limited by the forming force of the machine. Limitations in pitch, due to increased spring back, and limitations of the material to stretch during the forming process without causing unwanted cracking
  • The maximum achievable plate thickness is subject to both the pitch to the shaft diameter ratio, and the maximum flange width cross-sectional area, for each respective machine
